Everett E. Delhagen, 85 of Rush County, passed away on April 26, 2023 in Rush County. He was born on July 21, 1937 in Wayne County, IN to the late Isaac and Smara (Collins) Delhagen. Everett was a 1955 graduate of Charlottesville High School. He married Barbara J. McConnell on July 4, 1965 and she survives. Everett loaded grain cars at Maxwell Elevator for over 30 years and retired from Emporia Elevator. His sense of humor will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife, Barbara he is survived by his sons, Ronald Delhagen of St. Paul, IN and Rodney (Candice) Delhagen of Greenfield, IN; and his daughter, Rhonda (Justin) Lefforge of Mays, IN; brothers, Jack (Barbara) Delhagen of Greenfield, IN and Bill (Ruth) Isaacs of IL; sisters, Joan McClarnon of Vevay, IN and Marilyn (Delbert) Runyon of Westport, IN. He will also be missed by his 3 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren.
Everett is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Bob, Hazel, Charlene, Juanita, Dorothy, Mayme, Marie, Louisa, Lisa, Tootsie, Letha, Jimmy and Jane.
Services will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 10 AM at Moster Mortuary, with Bill Worrell presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family from 4 PM-8PM on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Moster Mortuary. Burial will be held at Center Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of Southern Indiana.
