The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Dec. 10

Jimmy John’s

Location: 1310 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C — spray bottles with chemical needs to be marked with common name, corrected; NC — hand sink needs to reach 100 degrees and three-compartment sink needs to reach 110 degrees, corrected.

Marathon

Location: 1313 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC — ice scoop handle is broken, ice scoop needs to be stored on a clean surface or in a holder, need to have soap at the hand sink, need to have paper towel dispenser, water is leaking around ice machine, to be corrected by March 1; C — need to have common name of chemical in spray bottle on spray bottle, to be corrected by Dec. 11.
