GREENFIELD
Irene A. (Rhoday) Wheeler, 69, of Greenfield, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at her residence. She was born on March 13, 1949 in Shelbyville as the daughter of Harry N. Rhoday and Katja L. Rhoday Hawkersmith. She graduated from Greenfield High School in 1967. Irene married Gregory J. Wheeler on December 30, 1967 in Greenfield.
She worked at Meijer’s on East Washington Street for several years. Irene enjoyed reading and cooking. She also loved planting flowers and gardening.
Irene is survived by her husband, Gregory Wheeler of Greenfield; son, Gregory J. (Amanda) Wheeler of Greenfield; daughter, Katja L. (Robert) Stine of Greenfield; and three grandchildren, Bradley, Sophia, and Adele. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Charles Rhoday.
A celebration of life gathering will take place on Saturday, June 30, 2018, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Katja Stine in Greenfield.
