GREENFIELD — Greenfield Police Department Chief John Jester has announced plans to retire.
Jester, who worked for the department for more than 24 years, told Greenfield Mayor Chuck Fewell Friday morning he intends to retire.
Jester, who is taking a position in security for Community Health Network, has served as chief since 2008.
