In a tight, four-set match at home Thursday, New Palestine lost 3-1 to Whiteland (15-12).

The Dragons lost by set scores of 25-15, 23-25, 25-20, 25-23.

It was a big night for New Palestine’s Daysen Wood.

He had a double-double with a team-best 13 kills, to go with 11 digs. He also had a team-best five service aces and was part of two blocks.

Aaron Smith led in digs with 13.

Chase Emberton and Eli Greene were part of two blocks each. Setter Kameron Engle had 29 assists.

New Palestine (9-11) returns to action Tuesday for Senior Night against Cardinal Ritter (2-7).
