GREENFIELD – Greenfield-Central Schools is collecting feedback for the 2024-25 school calendar, and one proposal would change how fall break works.

The proposed calendars are posted on the corporation’s Facebook page. One option would have traditional two-week breaks in October and March for fall and spring breaks.

Option two would have only one week of a break in October, but an entire week of a break in November around Thanksgiving. Spring break would still be two weeks in option two.

Both proposals would maintain a two-week winter break. Both calendars propose a July 31 start date; the calendar with the one-week fall break would end school prior to Memorial Day 2025, while the traditional two-week seasonal break calendar would end school a few days after Memorial Day.
