GREENFIELD
Nolan G. Spencer, age 88, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Hancock Regional Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 10, 1934 in Greenfield to Samuel and Eva (Crosley) Spencer. He graduated from Greenfield-Central High School in 1954. Mr. Spencer served in the United States Army. He married Marilyn Moses on May 7, 1960.
He worked for Ford Motor Company as a machinist for 30 years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of the UAW. Nolan loved fishing and traveling. He also liked watching IU sports.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marilyn; daughter, Leslie Hollis of Greenfield; and granddaughters, Ashley Hollis and Kara Hollis. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joan Bass; and brother, Norman Spencer.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
