GREENFIELD – Looking for a sugar rush? Look no further than the church next door or the park down the road.

Hancock County has plenty of sweet events this weekend for families and friends celebrating the harvest and Halloween. Here’s a list of local community events; all are free unless otherwise noted.

Today, Oct. 27

Trunk or Treat, 5:30 p.m. Greenfield Church of Christ, 1380 S. State St., Greenfield; event features candy, games and allergy-friendly treats.

Trunk or Treat hosted by Greenfield Parks and Recreation, 6-8 p.m., Riley Park, 280 Apple St.; event includes crafts, face painting, bonfire, popcorn and music; event will be indoors in case of inclement weather.

Marching Dragons Trunk or Treat, 7-8 p.m., New Palestine High School parking lot; event will feature candy, games, music and costumes, as well as a performance by the Marching Dragons at 8 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 28

Fall Festival, 5:30-8 p.m. Wilkinson Church of Christ, 7293 N. Ind. 109, Wilkinson; event features games, food, bounce house and an outdoor movie at 7 p.m. (bring chairs and a blanket for the movie).

Trunk ‘n Treat, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Philadelphia campus of Mt. Comfort Church, 2265 W. U.S. 40, Greenfield.

Hank’s Halloween Spooktacular, 6-8 p.m., Hancock Regional Hospital, 801 N. State St., Greenfield.

Fright Flix at the Ricks featuring the movie “House on Haunted Hill,” 7 p.m., H.J. Ricks Centre for the Arts, 122 W. Main St., Greenfield; tickets are $5 at the door.

Saturday, Oct. 29

Treats on Main and FARM Community Fair, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Main Street in downtown Fortville; event features a costume contest, live music, treats and information booths on churches and community organizations.

Harvest Hoedown, 2-4 p.m., Brookville Road Community Church, 7480 W. U.S. 52, New Palestine; event features games, inflatables, costume contest and candy giveaways.

Trunk or Treat, 2-4 p.m. Bradley United Methodist Church, 210 W. Main St., Greenfield.

Fall Festival, 4-7 p.m., New Life Church, 501 N. Buck Creek Road, Cumberland; event features food, games, roasted marshmallows, bounce houses and hay rides.

Trunk or Treat, 5-7 p.m., Willow Branch United Methodist Church, 6244 N. Thomas St., Willow Branch.

Fall Fest, 5-7 p.m., Brown’s Chapel Wesleyan Church, 994 N. 600E., Greenfield; event includes bounce houses, hay rides, trunks with candy, hot dogs, face painting and more.

Trunk or Treat, 5-7 p.m., Greenfield Elks Lodge, 820 S. State St., Greenfield.

Halloween Party hosted by Recovery Cafe at The Landing, 7-10 p.m. 18 W. South St., Greenfield; family-friendly event features free food, music, dancing and prizes for costumes.

Town of McCordsville Trunk or Treat, 3-5 p.m., Outlook Church, 6531 N. 600W., McCordsville; event features food, games and candy.

Trunk or Treat at Woodland Terrace in New Palestine, 2-5 p.m. Oct. 30, 4400 Terrace Drive, New Palestine; event includes live music, face painting, a balloon artist, hayride and refreshments.

Trunk or Treat, 4-6:30 p.m., Fortville Church of the Nazarene, 701 S. Maple St., Fortville; event features warm soups, drinks and treats.

Monday, Oct. 31

Trunk or Treat, 5-7 p.m., Christ Presbyterian Church, 7879 Carroll Road, McCordsville.

Trunk or Treat, 5-6:30 p.m., Trinity Park Church, 207 W. Park Ave., Greenfield.

Halloween Party, 5-7 p.m., Greenfield Christian Church, 23 N. East St., Greenfield; event will feature games, hot dogs and candy.

A Royal “Hall”-Oween, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Eastern Hancock High School; indoor event hosted by Eastern Hancock Student Council and National Honor Society encourages participants to bring $1 or one non-perishable item per trick-or-treater.

Trunk or Treat, 6:30-8 p.m., Calvary Baptist Church, 1450 W. Main St., Greenfield.
