Wilma June (Porter) Conn, age 83, of Greenfield, passed from this life to her eternal home with her Savior on Monday, September 19, 2022 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born in Lawton, Kentucky on May 23, 1939 to Mary (Boggs) and George Porter. She worked in the field of nursing and retired from Hancock Regional Hospital after 20 years of service in 1990. On January 31, 1956, June married Eugene Conn in Lawton. In 1963 they moved to Richmond, Indiana and later established roots in Greenfield, where they raised their family.

She was a member of Greenfield Church of God where she was active in the Women’s Ministry. June enjoyed spending time traveling, gardening, cooking, and painting. She also loved listening to Christian music, crocheting and quilting and spending time with her family, especially at family gatherings.

June is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Eugene Conn of Greenfield; children, Beverly (James) Ostermyer of New Palestine, Donald Conn of Greenfield, Deborah Day of Greenfield, Patricia (Richard) Foust of New Palestine, Jamie (Brenda) Conn of Greenfield and Linda (Kevin) Distler of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Ronald Conn, Amanda Hinchley, Kristen (Nick) Rojowski, Joshua Conn, Orie (Elizabeth) Day, Shelly (James) Lockridge, and Samuel Conn; 13 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Willard Porter of Olive Hill, KY, Gary Porter of Niles, OH, and Vada Porter of Niles, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronald Conn; son-in-law, Jeffrey Day; brothers, Lester Porter and Wade Porter; sisters, Ester Barker, Hazel Conn, Clara Reynolds, Nellie Gillam, Jewell Tomlin, and Joyce Ann Porter; and infant granddaughter, Julie Conn.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Greenfield Church of God, 1561 E Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140 with viewing 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
