GREENFIELD
Grace A. Hunter, age 91, of Greenfield, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Greenfield. She was born in Monticello, Kentucky on January 13, 1931, to Robert &Bessie (Guffey) Abbott.
Grace spent her life as a homemaker caring for her family at home. She was a faithful believer in Christ who enjoyed making memories with her family, especially all her grandchildren. Grace enjoyed gardening and sewing.
Grace is survived by her daughter, Judy (Jerry) Buckman; stepdaughter, Louise Hayes; stepson, Jim (Jennifer) Hunter; sister, Betty Parmeley; 8 grandchildren, Kim (John) Beasley; Shannon (Tim) Boyk; Robin (Martin) Harris; James Hunter; 7 great-grandchildren, Morgan Zaner; Nash Boyk; Olivia Boyk; Alicia (Scott) Smith; Laura McLain; Megan Harris; Madelyn Harris; and 2 great great-grandchildren, Maleigha and Khloe Little. Grace is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Sherman Davenport (d:1970); late husband, James Hunter (d:1999); siblings, Eva Abbott; Bob Abbott; Paul Abbott; Vena Taylor; Claude Chriswell; Clarence Criswell; and grandson, Keith Hayes.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US HWY 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. An additional visitation hour will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home, 647 N. Main St., Monticello, KY 42633. Burial with a cemetery committal service will follow at 12:30pm at Elk Spring Cemetery in Monticello.
