Jeff A. Thompson, 61, of Fortville, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2021. He was born May 1, 1960 to Burl Allen and Marsha (Winter) Thompson. Jeff was a 1978 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and had worked at Carrier Corporation as a machine operator.
Jeff was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #391, he enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with family. Jeff played video games and was a NASCAR fan. He loved cartoons and Bullwinkle and Rocky was his favorite.
Jeff is survived by sister Penny Goff, brother Chris (Lacey) Thompson, sister-in-law Janice Thompson; nieces Johna (Jo) Goff, Danielle Thompson, Jama Goff, Kalyn Thompson, Shelly (Dustin) Myers and Marleigh Thompson, nephews Allen Thompson and Max Thompson as well as several great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Tracey Thompson and great-niece Payton Goff.
A memorial service to celebrate Jeff’s life will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday October 18, 2021 at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 pm until the service begins. Jeff’s cremated remains will be laid to rest with his parents on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Gravel Lawn Cemetery.
