GREENFIELD
Elizabeth R. (Freeman) Wolfla, age 81, of Greenfield, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle. She was born in Hiseville, Kentucky on December 14, 1939 to Garnett and Lucy (Rogers-Marcum) Freeman. She graduated from Indianapolis Howe High School.
She was an administrative assistant for Roche Diagnostics for many years. A member of Hawk’s Tail Golf Club and St. Michael Catholic Church. Elizabeth was an avid golfer and attending outings with her friends. She enjoyed the holidays and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Robert (Sandy) Wolfla of Sulphur Springs, IN and Joe “Nicholas” Wolfla of Mount Saint Francis, IN; grandson, SSGT Robert D. Wolfla, USMC of Camp Lejeune, NC; four great-grandchildren, Gabe Wolfla, Addison Wolfla, Graham Wolfla, and Harper Delellis; brothers, Danny Freeman and Ronald Freeman both of Indianapolis; and a sister, Agatha Frazier of Buford, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garrett and Lucy Freeman; and brothers, Don Freeman and Carol Freeman.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 519 Jefferson Blvd, Greenfield, IN 46140. Father Aaron Jenkins will be officiating. Inurnment will take place on a later date at Mount Saint Francis Cemetery. As a reminder, the government mandate requires guests to wear masks when inside our building. We must limit the number of guests at a time and please practice social distancing.
