GREENFIELD

Ronnie Mohr, age 72, of Greenfield, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 at IU Health Methodist Hospital. He was born in Shelbyville on August 19, 1948 to Maurice K. and Cecilia (Voelker) Mohr. He graduated from Hancock Central High School in 1966 and received a short course degree from Purdue University. He served in the U.S. Army as a 101st Airborne during the Vietnam War. Ronnie married Sarah (Thomas) on November 21, 1969 in Knightstown.

He was a lifelong farmer of R&S Mohr Family Farms Inc. and Circle M Family Farms. Ronnie was a board member of the Indiana Corn Marketing, Hancock County Sheriffs Merit Board, NineStar Connect, and Hancock County Drainage Board. He was a member of Willow Branch United Methodist Church, Eden Masonic Lodge, and the founding member of the Green Township Volunteer Fire Department. Active with the local FFA, an Indiana Prairie Master Farmer, and was a former Green Township Trustee. Ronnie was a past board member of the Harvest Land Co-Op, Land O Lakes, Farm Bureau, Wabash Valley Electrical, Hancock Soil & Water, and Hancock County Community Foundation. Ronnie loved farming, tool shopping, swimming, and traveling to Florida. He most of all loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and sharing snacks with his dogs.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Sarah Mohr of Greenfield; children, Andy (Michele) Mohr, Eric (Lisa) Mohr, and Sarah Jo (Gary) Achor all of Greenfield; 10 grandchildren, Lane, Parker, Mckayla, Hunter, Carter, Kaden, Emma Jo, Kinzy, Halli, and Hanna; and siblings, Roy (Marilyn) Mohr of Rushville, Robert (Ann) Mohr of Simpsonville, SC, Joyce (Mike) Holmes of Greenfield, and Joe (Patsy) Mohr of Greenfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Cecilia Mohr; and a sister, Gail Youngclaus.

A drive-thru visitation will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Ronnie’s Farm, 5200 E. 600 N., Greenfield, IN 46140. As a reminder, the government mandate requires guests to wear masks and ask everyone to practice social distancing. A graveside funeral service will take place following the visitation at 2:30 p.m. at Cooper Cemetery in Greenfield.
