GREENFIELD
Edith Sophia (Buhr) Ostermeier, 93 passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield, Indiana. Edith was born April 25, 1927 in Fort Wayne Indiana to Walter and Ida (Bohner) Buhr.
Edith was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She enjoyed baking and was the best at making cookies. Edith and Everett loved to travel. They went to 48 states and took pictures of everything. Edith was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.
Edith is survived by her son in law, Bill Bundy, her sisters: Maryellen Carter and Joan Wheeler.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 63 years, Everett L. Ostermeier, 2 daughters, Diana Bundy and Deborah Cooney, 1 grandchild, Matthew Cooney, a sister Ruth Harp, two brothers: Don Folkening and Walter Buhr.
A funeral service for Edith will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Zion Lutheran Church, with Pastor Taylor officiating. Friends and family may call from 12:00 noon, until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made in Edith’s honor to the Zion Lutheran Church.
