McCORDSVILLE — A new commercial development is starting to take shape.

One of two buildings making up McCordsville Marketplace has been constructed at the southeast corner of Broadway Street and County Road 700W, just northeast of Meijer in McCordsville. Three of four spaces have been secured in the finished property, where Noble Roman’s Craft Pizza & Pub, Great Clips and Verizon Wireless will soon be doing business.

A 3,570-square foot space on the east end of the building will be occupied by the Indianapolis-based franchiser and operator of Noble Roman’s Pizza and Noble Roman’s Craft Pizza & Pub’s seventh company-operated flagship Craft Pizza & Pub restaurant. It’s anticipated to open in the fourth quarter of 2020, according to a news release from the company.

Scott Mobley, president and CEO of Noble Roman’s, said in the release that McCordsville Marketplace’s location and proximity to Meijer are ideal for serving multiple markets.

“It has stoplight access and high visibility on a major traffic artery with the benefit of an adjacent, high-volume retail anchor,” Mobley said. “We are very excited to be bringing Craft Pizza & Pub to communities on the northeast side of the Indy metro area.”

The pizzeria will have seating for 159, including a beer and wine bar that will seat 10.

“Our McCordsville-area restaurant will incorporate new equipment and workflows in the kitchen that will allow faster production speeds during heavy online ordering and peak hours,” Mobley also said. “Our dining room has been restructured to be much more space efficient and will allow switching between various service systems based on needs arising from events such as COVID-19.”

The restaurant will also have an outdoor patio seating area and offer the company’s “Pizza Valet” curbside service.

Mobley told the Daily Reporter in an email that the restaurant will employ about 35.

Bill Wright, CEO of The Wright Cut, Inc., is a Great Clips franchisee and owner of the new salon coming to McCordsville Marketplace. He said it will open after November 2020 and replace the Great Clips that’s currently in Meijer.

“We chose this particular location because it has good visibility and accessibility,” Wright told the Daily Reporter in an email. “McCordsville is an emerging town that is attracting new housing and commercial development. We think the community is looking for service-oriented businesses that offer value and quality, both of which the Great Clips brand offers.”

He said the salon will employ up to 13 stylists, including a manager and two assistant managers.

Indianapolis-based Veritas Realty’s listing of McCordsville Marketplace states Verizon Wireless is also coming to the first building. A space of 2,000 square feet remains available. The second building’s pad, located to the northeast of the first, is ready for development and will offer up to 9,648 square feet.

Kovacs Enterprises, which is developing McCordsville Marketplace, did not return requests for comment.
