A young person with a learner’s permit who was brushing up on his driving skills apparently used the wrong pedal Friday evening, Aug. 28, in the parking lot outside the Bureau of Motor Vehicles branch in McCordsville, 5949 W. Broadway. The young driver told police he was practicing driving in the parking lot with his father when he hit the accelerator instead of the brake pedal. The license branch was closed at the time, and no one was injured. Monica Ennis, who was dining with her family at the nearby Las Agaves Grill, took this photo shortly after the accident.
