The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Burger King

Location: 2706 N. County Road 600W, Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC — debris/grease build-up on wheels on table holding oven, on side/bottom metal strips on back of fryer and walk-in freezer door handle, to be corrected by April 1.

Marathon

Location: 1313 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC — lips of to-go cups need to be protected by using cup dispenser or remain in original packaging, three-compartment sink has mop in it, to be corrected by March 1; spray bottle with chemical not labeled with common name, corrected.

Chicago’s Pizza

Location: 5917 W. Broadway, McCordsville

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C — employee observed touching phone with food handling gloves on then touching bread stick dough, spray bottle marked sanitizer does not contain proper concentration of sanitizer, corrected.

Village Pantry

Location: 5964 W. Pendleton Pike, McCordsville

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C — nacho cheese in dispenser is not hot enough, corrected.

Chicago’s Pizza

Location: 1031 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC/R4 — floors behind/under tables in pizza cutting area have build-up/debris at floor/wall juncture, legs of tables inside of walk-in cooler door and fan covers in walk-in cooler have debris, to be corrected by March 1; NC — pizza cutter should not be stored between table and wall, corrected; NC — non-food contact surfaces of sheet pans have build-up of debris along edges, to be corrected by March 1.
