Hoosier Basketball Magazine recognized

On Monday in the Indiana Senate Chamber the state passed a concurrent resolution recognizing Hoosier Basketball Magazine and its 50-year history covering basketball in Indiana.

Senator Ron Alting (District 22) brought this resolution to the floor during their session while senators Lonnie Randolph (District 2), Greg Taylor (District 33) and Rodric Bray (District 37) spoke on behalf of Hoosier Basketball Magazine as the resolution passed.

Hoosier Basketball Magazine is celebrating its 50th anniversary issue this season. Its birth began in the summer of 1970 when Garry Donna purchased the rights to “Hoosier Basketball Preview” from Tom Keating and Harley Bierce who printed just one season of their Indiana high school basketball preview magazine.

Donna went on to publish the magazine annually for 46 years before his death in 2017.
