GREENFIELD — The public is invited to the Hancock County Master Gardeners’ monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at the Hancock County Extension office, located on the county fairgrounds at 802 Apple St., Greenfield.
The meeting’s speaker, Steven Houghton, is vice president and manager of the seed division of the CISCO Companies of Indianapolis. Houghton’s topic is “Execu-Turf Grass Seed 101.” He is a 1977 Purdue University graduate with a degree in Agronomy and is celebrating his 43rd year in the industry. Houghton has been very active in seed industry trade organizations and was the Indiana Seed Trade organization’s past president.
A business meeting of the Hancock County Master Gardeners will follow at 7:40 p.m.
