GREENFIELD
Lillian Jeanetta (Burnham) Peacock, age 93, of Greenfield, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Morristown Manor. She was born in Blue Ridge, Illinois on December 20, 1925 to Leland and Mabel (Hill) Burnham. She married Cecil Arnold Peacock on August 29, 1942 in Crothersville, Indiana.
She worked for Eli Lilly as a lab tech and also for Western Electric. Lillian most enjoyed being a farmer’s wife and raising her family. She was a member of Maxwell United Methodist Church, Indiana Standardbred Association, and Riley Wranglers Square Dancing. Lillian enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, and reading.
Lillian is survived by her son, Darin Peacock; daughters, Jean Fee, Mary Jane Grose, and Dana Peacock; 15 grandchildren, Berneda, Markeeta, Amy, Wendy, Regina, Ryan, Cindy, Katie, Megan, Hannah, Trevor, Heather, Carlie, Tyler, and Amanda; 25 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Don Burnham; and sisters, Alice Shetrone and Valeeta Hommel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Peacock; parents, Leland and Mabel Burnham; brother, Robert Burnham; and sister, Vivian McConnell.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Larry Van Camp will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
