Dragons earn sweep

New Palestine rolled to a 25-13, 25-20, 25-12 sweep of Warren Central Wednesday evening.

The Dragons had solid balance in the lineup. Lauren Dodd had four aces and five kills. Kennedy Stephenson and Kaelyn Armstrong had six kills each. Stephenson also had two blocks. Sarah Adam had three kills and 16 assists.

Marauders bounce back

Mt. Vernon rebounded from its first loss of the season last week with a 4-1 win Wednesday against Anderson.

Reece Powell was first off the court, winning 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. At No. 2 doubles, Jackson Dunlavy and Dallas Turner cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 win. Chris Hays won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, and Justin Lemke and Owen Koon won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles.

Royals fall to Lapel

Eastern Hancock dropped a 5-0 decision to Lapel on Wednesday.

One match went to a third set, at No. 1 singles. Brady Smith and Josh McDaniel eventually fell in a super tiebreaker, 7-5, 5-7, 10-7.
