Girls soccer

Dragons roll again

New Palestine rolled past host Triton Central on Wednesday with a 9-0 win.

Addie Halter, Maddy Miller and Izzy Myers each scored twice for the Dragons. Anna Luker, Emmy Giddens and Abby Blachly each scored once. Maddy Miller and Blachly had two assists each, and Luker, Edin Hurst, Maddy Potter, Cate Black and Sydney Miller each had one assist.

The Dragons defense held tight again for their second shutout of the season. Haley Weinrich and Whitney Miller recorded the shutout in goal.

The Dragons are next in action at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lawrence North.

Volleyball

Marauders pick up win

Mt. Vernon improved to 3-0 on the season with a four-set win against Noblesville on Wednesday, 26-24, 25-13, 25-27, 25-16.

Cecilia Bulmahn had 19 kills and Claire Ertel added 10, along with three aces and 10 digs. Victoria Bulmahn had three aces and set up the offense with 37 assists, while also added 17 digs. Sophie Schultz had 21 digs.

The Marauders are next in action Saturday starting at 10 a.m. against Western Boone.

Girls golf

Cougars keep winning

Greenfield-Central picked up a tri-match win on Wednesday, shooting a 185 to top New Castle (231) and Randolph Southern (252).

Caroline Gibson was medalist with a 39. Haley Hoagland had a 46, Tandess O’Neal a 48, and Abby Mulligan joined the varsity scoring for the first time with a personal-best 52.

The Cougars play next on Saturday at the New Palestine Invitational.

Marauders get win

Mt. Vernon won a tri-match on Wednesday, shooting a 186 to top Delta (192) and Shenandoah (203).

Meredith Johnson tied for medalist honors with a 43 for the Marauders, who are next in action Saturday at the New Palestine Invitational.

Royals top Triton

Eastern Hancock picked up a win against Triton Central on Wednesday, 208-212.

Shelby Jackson led the Royals with a 49. Daly Pelger added a 52, Jocelyn Duncan had a 53, Haleigh Caveletto a 54, Inez Friddle a 70 and Hunter Orr shot a 72.
