The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Violations found: C/R5 — melon and yogurt on bar and whipped topping at wait station must be held at 41 degrees or lower, corrected; C — cottage cheese has exceeded manufacturing date and appears expired, corrected/discarded; C — gnats are excessive in corner of mop sink/bathroom/mat storage and wait station, to be corrected by May 15; NC/R3 — repair fiberglass reinforced plastic wall near mop sink and bathroom, to be corrected by July 1; NC/R6 — clean: wall near sprayer to remove mold-like substance, small table with meal debris, coving in walk-in cooler, inside of both pie cases, doors/gaskets/handles/interiors of all equipment to remove debris/build-up/grime, to be corrected by July 1.
