Royals lose on walk-off
For the second time in as many games, the Eastern Hancock Royals lost on a walk-off, this time a bottom of the seventh inning single. Tied at 3-3, Cowan’s Jacob Clark drove in a run on a 3-2 count, giving the hosts the 4-3 win.
Ryan Burris had two of the Royals’ four hits, including a double and two RBI. Keegan Bowman and Wyatt Sutton had the other hits for the visitors.
Aside from driving in the winning run, Clark dominated on the mound, striking out 12 Royals in four innings pitched. Eastern Hancock used seven pitchers in the game, each throwing one inning.
