The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Feb. 22

Quality Inn and Suites

Location: 2270 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC/R2 — must provide tongs for apples or other fruits with edible peels, corrected; NC — store forks and spoons with handles up to prevent contamination of lip contact service, corrected.

Aramark at Elanco

Location: 2500 Innovative Way, Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

No violations found.

Buffalo Wild Wings

Location: 1797 Melody Lane, Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C — blue cheese dressing proportioned must be held at 41 degrees or lower in wait station, glassware machine not sanitizing at the correct concentration, corrected; NC — glasses in bar area must air dry before stacking, corrected.

Feb. 27

Circle K

Location: 2270 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C — must date-mark sandwiches, to be corrected by Feb. 27; C — utensils and food contact surfaces must be sanitized after cleaning, sanitizing solution in spray bottles too strong, must not block hand-washing sink, corrected; NC — need thin-tipped thermometer, to be corrected by March 15; NC/R2 — need hand soap available at hand sink, paper towels need to be available at all hand sinks, to be corrected by March 1; NC — gap at back exterior door, to be corrected by April 1.

Subway

Location: 22668 N. County Road 600W, Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C — change in-use utensils every four hours, corrected; C — droppings fund in beverage area, call pest control; NC — must thaw food properly, do not leave on counter to thaw, corrected.
