MARTINSVILLE, IN

William (Bill) Richard Kivett was born in Martinsville, Indiana to Clifford and Harriet Kivett on May 31, 1932. Bill passed on January 10, 2019 after living a full and eventful life.

He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather who will always be remembered for his witty personality, joyous sense of humor, and caring generosity who made everyone feel loved and as though they were apart of his family.

Bill graduated from Greenfield High School in 1951 and knew he wanted to serve our country upon graduating. He served four years in the air force. He moved to Arizona in 1960 and served the city of Phoenix working at the post office for 30 years before retiring in Payson, Arizona.

Bill joined his mother, father, and sister, Barb who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Peggy, sons, Bill and his wife Carolyn, Jeff and his wife Christine, and Greg, his six grandchildren, Kim, Kathy, Jennifer, Charisse, Sarah and Dakota, and eight great-grandchildren, Makenna, Justin, Brandon, Grayson, Payson, Jack, Silas, and Annika. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews along with his large network of extended “family” as Bill had a way making everyone feel as though he was their grandpa.

Services will be held January 15, 2019 at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary 200 West Beardsley Rd, Phoenix, AZ at 11 a.m. with a viewing from 10-11 a.m.
