KNIGHTSTOWN

Orville Pendlum, 98, of Knightstown, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at his residence. He was born September 26, 1920 in Carter County, Kentucky the son of John and Della (Conley) Pendlum.

He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1982 following 25 years of service. Orville had lived in the Knightstown area since 2005 and had previously lived in Greenfield. He was a member of the Knightstown Church of God and United Auto Workers Union. He enjoyed fishing and was excellent at wood carving.

He is survived by a daughter, Marlene (James) Woodcock of Greenfield; three sons, Jerry Lee (Nina) Pendlum of Huntsville, AL, Mitchell (Carol) Pendlum of Greenfield and Roger Ray (Cindy) Pendlum of Greenfield; a brother, Johnny Pendlum of Portsmouth, OH; two sisters, Winnona (Bob) Stockman of Louisville, KY, Olive Goff of Greenfield; son-in-law, Carl Spence of Knightstown; grandchildren and great grandchildren; special friend, Denny West of Greenfield; nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Pendlum in 2005; an infant son, Gilbert Pendlum; a daughter, Nadine Spence.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Reverend Rick Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday.
