The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Nov. 5

Taco Bell

Location: 1017 W. Main St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC — clean scissors/storage box, soap dispensers not dispensing soap at hand sink near drive-thru, must air-dry pans/equipment after washing/sanitizing and before stacking for storage, corrected; NC — clean grills and griddles to remove food debris/build-up, to be corrected by Dec. 1.

Express Cafe

Location: 1649 W. Main St., Greenfield

Violations found: NC/R2 — clean ceiling vents, floors and walls in kitchen behind grill by hand-sink and food prep area where spices are located, finish repairing walls in kitchen, to be corrected by Feb. 1; NC — clean surfaces of equipment such as tables (prep), dish drying rack, grill table, etc. where grime/food build-up is present, repair lights where bulbs/rods are not working, to be corrected by Feb. 1; C — need to have certified food handler as full-time employee, to be corrected by Feb. 1.
