The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

July 25

Montana Mike’s

Location: 1945 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C — dish machine not reaching 180 degrees for sanitizing, corrected; NC — handles of utensils such as spoon/tongs must be kept above food, need to have working accurate thermometer in all refrigeration units, corrected.

Waffle House

Location: 1752 N. State St., Greenfield

Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen

Location: 1981 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C — debris on food contact surfaces; NC — debris on shaker in raw chicken area, after dishes/equipment are sanitized, should air dry, clean floors to remove build-up in grout, clean dust pans to remove build-up, to be corrected by Oct. 1.
