The Shirley Police Department will be honoring the department’s K-9 officer, Shadow, who died recently.
The department will be conducting a final ride and final call for Shadow at 11 a.m., Saturday. The ride will start at the Shirley Police Department at 409 Main St. The ride will travel south on Main Street to Lee Street, then west on Lee Street to Noble Street to South Street, then east on South Street to Main Street. The ride will return to the police department, where Shadow will be escorted by his handler, Officer Tim York, to have his final call of duty.
The public is welcome to line the streets of Shirley to help pay their respects to Shadow.
