GREENFIELD
Jane E. (Droeger) Mayhugh, 71, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Greenfield Healthcare Center. She was born on July 14, 1946, in Hancock County, as the daughter of Max and Mildred (McCullough) Droeger. Jane married Daniel L. Mayhugh on January 24, 1964, in Hancock County.
She was a custodian for many years at Harris Elementary and Greenfield Intermediate. She was also a caretaker for the Greenfield Conservation Club. Jane was a member of Moose Lodge of Greenfield, Conservation Club of Greenfield, and the F.O.P. of Greenfield. She liked crocheting, feeding and watching birds, and loved Christmas.
Jane is survived by her son, Lee (Brenda) Mayhugh of Greenfield; daughter, Missy (Kevin) Swango of Pendleton; three grandchildren, Jackie, Ashley, and Tyler; and two great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Andrew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Mildred Droeger; husband, Daniel Mayhugh; infant son, Daniel Lee Mayhugh; and brother, Jim Droeger.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2018, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
