Indie Art Studio offers Calligraphy 101

GREENFIELD — Indie Art Studio, 2 W. Main St., will offer a beginning calligraphy class from 8 to 11 p.m. Wednesday. This class is an introduction to pointed pen calligraphy in the copperplate style. It will include a discussion of the tools involved in pointed pen calligraphy (nibs, holders, ink), common styles, basic skills and strokes used. Writers group to share inspiration at library

GREENFIELD — Writers Helping Writers is a community of writers that gathers for inspiration and support on the third Thursday of each month at the Hancock Public Library from 6 to 8:45 p.m. People attending this monthly meeting, whether they are published or not, are invited to discuss their works and give each other mutual encouragement. Bring up to 10 computer-printed pages of work to read aloud to the group and make six copies for everyone to share. First-time visitors are welcome to sit in and observe. Adult craft club to meet at Sugar Creek library
