The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

May 15

Taco Bell

Location: 1017 W. Main St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

No violations found.

Subway

Location: 2668 N. County Road 600 W., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

No violations found.

May 16

Papa John’s

Location: 1001 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C — need to have employee health policy and all staff familiar with symptoms and diseases included, to be corrected by May 21; C — sanitizing solution is not dispensing correctly, service called; NC — sanitizing test strips must be available and used each time, to be corrected by May 18; NC/R — ceiling repairs have not been painted, to be corrected by Aug.1.

Schwan’s

Location: 11 S. College Drive, Marshall, Minnesota

Type of Inspection: Routine

No violations found.

Hardee’s

Location: 1215 W. Main St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C — containers used for storing tongs for raw chicken and hamburger patties need to be clean to sight and touch before being used, corrected; NC/R — clean floor and coving to remove build-up at back door, under rack of syrup boxes, under chemical rack and grease trap area, to be corrected by Aug. 1.

Don Rigo Mexican Grill

Location: 1336 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C — bare hand contact with ready-to-eat food observed, spray bottles with chemical not marked with common name, corrected; C — line cooler too warm, to be corrected by May 17; NC/R — handle of ice scoop in ice at bar area, corrected; NC — lead at faucet at three-compartment sink, to be corrected by Aug. 1.

Arby’s

Location: 1705 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC – water temperature at hand sink need to reach 100 degrees, to be corrected by Aug. 1; NC/R – repair caulking at mop sink, to be corrected by Aug. 1.

AVI Food Systems

Location: 1300 W. Anderson Blvd., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC – can see daylight at bottom of door that leads to outside, to be corrected by Sept. 1.

Wings, etc. Grill and Pub

Location: 1925 Melody Lane, Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C – do not let juices from chicken container get into container where hamburger is held, corrected; NC – clean floor drain under food prep sink in kitchen, also wall behind it, clean floor/wall in mop sink area where mold/mildew has accumulated, to be corrected by Aug. 1.
