The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

April 30

Montana Mike’s

Location: 1945 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C — common towel being used in bar area for hand-drying, dessert spoons and prep knives must be clean to sight and touch before being stored, chemical spray bottles must be labeled with common name, corrected.

Carol’s Cornerstone Cafe

Location: 301 E. Main St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C — gravy for biscuits not being held hot enough, corrected; NC/R — need thin-tipped thermometer or meat patties, chicken fingers, faucet leaking at three-compartment sink, clean hands of refrigeration units, that have debris, legs and shelving of equipment where there is grease/grime/debris, clean floors, walls, ceiling where debris/grease is present, to be corrected by July 1; NC — wiping cloths need to be stored in sanitizer between uses, corrected; NC — repair tiles where broken/missing and walls where damaged due to construction, to be corrected by July 1.
