The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

March 8

Taco Bell

Location: 1552 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: NC/R — must clean and sanitize knives and scissors before placing in knife storage box, to be corrected by March 8.

White Castle

Location: 2253 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C — sanitizing solution dispenser is not dispensing at the correct concentration, service called; NC/R — clean floors under grill area by customer order area, clean floors and wheels under fryer, to be corrected by June 1; NC — replace/repair light fixtures in walk-in freezer, to be corrected by June 1.

Burger King

Location: 1620 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C/R — change gloves/wash hands after adjusting head set and before handling ready-to-eat foods, corrected.
