The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

March 6

Walmart

Location: 1965 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C — expired milk, corrected/discarded; C — spray bottles containing chemicals must be labeled with correct chemical name, corrected; NC — need sanitizing strips in produce area, to be corrected by March 25.

O’Charley’s

Location: 1993 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C/R — sanitizing solution at three-compartment sink is a little low, corrected; C — spray bottle containing chemicals must be labeled with common name of chemical, corrected; NC — dish machine wash temperature must be at least 120 degrees, corrected; NC — clean wall behind three-compartment sink and prep sink to remove build-up, replace/repair caulking as needed, to be corrected by June 1.

Indulge

Location: 10 S. Main St., Fortville

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C/R — sanitizing solution at three-compartment sink is a little low, corrected; No violations found.

Panda Bear

Location: 21 S. Main St., Fortville

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: NC/R — clean floors and walls under/behind equipment such as freezers, work tables, flour bins, etc., clean outsides of equipment such as freezers, refrigerators, shelving, containers holding food, to be corrected by June 1.

March 7

Greenfield-Central Jr. High School

Location: 1440 N. Franklin St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C — spray bottles containing sanitizing solution are testing at a high concentration, to be corrected by March 7.

Sugar Creek Brickhouse

Location: 5821 W. U.S. Highway 40, Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C — shredded meat must be hot held at a minimum of 135 degrees, corrected; NC — hand air dryer in women’s restroom not working, corrected; C– hand sink in bar area not working, service called; NC — lighting in prep areas is not sufficient, to be corrected by June 1.

Penn Station

Location: 1667 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C — reach-in cooler to the left of sandwich oven too warm, to be corrected by March 8.

Ro’s Bar & Grill

Location: 1514 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: NC/R — ice scoop for ice machine in kitchen needs to be stored in protected manner, need to provide test strips for chlorine sanitizer, exterior door has hole/gap, repair/replace, to be corrected by June 1.
