Royals break school records at state meet
INDIANAPOLIS — The Eastern Hancock girls varsity track team set several school records and earned top-10 finishes in multiple events Saturday at the Hoosier State Relays at Gladstein Fieldhouse on the Indiana University campus in Indianapolis.
In the long jump, freshman Chloe O’Neal finished second with a school-record jump of 17 feet, ½ inch.
The Royals’ 4×200 relay team of Kayla Fancher, Taylor Stine, Alyson Spaulding and O’Neal finished ninth in the state, also breaking a school record with a time of 1:52:57. The 4×400 team of Fancher, Stine, O’Neal and Hannah Gates finished 10th with a time of 4:21:90.
The Royals finished in a tie for 19th in the state.
