The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Aug. 8

Hardee’s

Location: 1215 W. Main St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC — repair/replace corner strip of wall in dry storage area, to be corrected by Nov. 1.

Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen

Location: 202 E. Main St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

No violations found.

Lincoln Square Pancake House

Location: 118 W. Main St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C — a few knives stored as clean had some food debris on them, corrected.

Aug. 9

Wendy’s

Location: 1508 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C — raw meet at 72 degrees in meet cooler by grill, blue cheese on line too warm, to be corrected by Aug. 10; NC — French fry scoop cannot be stored between equipment, corrected; C — cook handling raw meat should not touch white-handled spatula unless washed handed, corrected; NC/R — clean floors under equipment, three-compartment sink and other areas where dirt/grime/grease have built up, to be corrected by Nov. 1.

McDonald’s

Location: 1490 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C/R — incomplete health policy, corrected; C — repair hand sink in kitchen by line so water is working properly and temperature is not so hot, water temperature measured 130 degrees, to be corrected by Aug. 10; NC — no paper towels at two hand sinks, to be corrected by Aug. 10; C — utensils that are not under temperature control like cutting board for cooked chicken need to be cleaned every four hours, to be corrected by Aug. 10; C — touch points such as refrigerator doors touched with gloves on need to be sanitized every four hours, to be corrected by Aug. 10; NC — hand sink in women’s restroom needs to reach 100 degrees, to be corrected by Nov. 1.
