Restaurant Inspections – May 29

The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually, and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

April 22

Quizno’s Sub

Location: 2045 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine.

Violations: C—reach-in cooler not cold enough, needs to hold food at 41 degrees or below, three days; NC—sanitizer in wiping cloth bucket not strong enough, corrected.

Firehouse Subs

Location: 22 E. McClarnon Dr., Greenfield.

Type of Inspection: Routine.

Violations: C—several containers of meats not date-marked, corrected; NC—cups used for drinks need to be dispensed so bottom of cup is presented, not top of lid, corrected.

April 23

O’Charley’s

Location: 1993 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine.

Violations: C/R—foods in prep cooler with sour cream not cold enough, needs to be held at 41 degrees or below, temp log provided, corrected, foods removed; C—dish machine is not dispensing sanitizer, check alarm, corrected; NC—some tiles in kitchen missing, repair is scheduled, 90 days; NC—water leaking at pre-rinse sink for dishes and on dish machine, 90 days.

April 24

Hardee’s

Location: 1881 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine.

Violations: C—be careful what touching with gloves on, do not touch door of cooler with gloves on, must change gloves before touching food, corrected.

Mozzi’s

Location: 2221 W. Main St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine.

Violations: NC—clean floors behind, under equipment tables where grime has built up, 90 days.
