Vonnegut novel transformed into musical at Phoenix

INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana author Kurt Vonnegut has had his novel, “God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater,” transformed into a musical for this “satire of corruption and goodwill.” As his alter-ego Kilgore Trout puts it: “Now we know that giving respect to people who don’t deserve it is possible, too. Since practically nobody is very respectable any more, it has to be one of the most important experiments of modern times!” “God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater” plays through June 3 at the Phoenix Theatre in its new location at 705 N. Illinois St. Note: The May 31 performance benefits the Vonnegut Library and Museum. Visit phoenxitheatre.org for performance dates, time and more information.
