Restaurant Inspections – July 15

The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

May 26

Location: 1274 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC/R — wipe down equipment non-food contact surfaces so as not to accumulate debris, to be corrected by Aug. 1.

May 30

Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant

Location: 1550 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC — ice scoop handle in ice, corrected; NC — do not store utensils between equipment, corrected; C — need to have employee health/reporting policy, corrected.

Steak N Shake

Location: 2121 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine
