NOBLESVILLE — David Marcotte, an Indianapolis Catholic priest who grew up in Greenfield, was suspended in February 2019 amid charges of sexual abuse involving a minor from an incident in Sept. 2017. Marcotte, whose case was recently closed, will not have to spend any time in jail and will not have to register as a sex offender following the acceptance of a plea agreement last week in Hamilton County Superior Court 2.

Fortville PD plan Shop with a Public Safety Officer event

FORTVILLE — Officials with the Fortville Police Department have organized their own “Shop with a public safety officer” event this year rather than partnering with other Hancock County departments. Applications for Fortville residents can be found on the Town of Fortville website under the police department tab. They plan to shop Saturday, Dec. 10, starting with breakfast at McDonald’s and then heading out for a shopping event at the Walmart in Greenfield.
