Food Inspection
The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.
Jan. 13
Circle K
Location: 2243 N. State Road 9, Greenfield
Type of Inspection: Routine
Violations found: C — unlabeled chemical in spray bottle, corrected.
Mozzi’s Pizza
Location: 18 W. Main St., New Palestine
Type of Inspection: Routine
Violations found: NC — thermometer was not in refrigerator unit where cheese and dip were being held, light was not working in dish washing area, grease build-up found on some utensil handles, to be corrected by Feb. 13; C — chemicals were found in an unlabeled spray bottle, corrected.
Jan. 14
Chicago’s Pizza
Location: 1031 N. State St., Greenfield
Type of Inspection: Routine
Violations found: C — employee health policy must be provided, corrected; ready-to-eat ham must be date-marked, to be corrected by Feb. 14; NC — utensils must be stored in a clean location, test strips for sanitizer must be available, to be corrected by Feb. 14.

Noble Roman’s Craft Pizza and Pub
Location: 6859 W. Broadway, McCordsville
Type of Inspection: Routine
Violations found: C — meatballs in hot holding below required 135 degrees, pasta in ice bath above the required 41 degrees, corrected; NC — need to provide paper towels at hand sink in bar area, to be corrected by Feb. 1; NC — need to provide holder for ice scoop, corrected.
