Helen Brown Huber was born in Worthington Indiana on July 15, 1923 the ninth of ten children. Her parents were George Wilson Brown and Edna Ethal Stierwalt Brown. She was a 1941 graduate of Eminence High School and valued her time, education, and reunions there. She married Herbert H. Huber on November 19, 1941 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He passed away in August of 2008, after 67 years together.

While being a wife and mother, she worked in the L.S. Ayres Tea Room as well as other jobs before joining administration at Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis. She retired from Ford in 1980. They retired in Florida for 18 years, before returning to the Indianapolis area. After her grandchildren and great grandchildren, her favorite things were her generosity in the kitchen, golf, her years in Florida with her husband, Christmas, playing her Lowrey organ, and her skills in making a house a home.

She passed away in assisted living in McCordsville, Indiana March 20, 2024. To succeed in life, her generation needed three things- a Wishbone, a Backbone, and a Funnybone! She had them all!

She is survived by two children, Stanley (Linda) Huber, Sharon (JP, deceased) Kleinhelter, 4 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Alice Huber, and brother-in-law Robert Huber. She will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews along with many friends and neighbors. Helen was blessed with extremely good health her entire life, until after her 100th birthday. She will be remembered by all that knew her and will remain in our hearts. Her and her husband’s remains will be interred together, at a later date, at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
