Aidan Campbell of New Palestine has been making short horror films at Ball State University. Now a graduate, he is using a crowdfunding site for new projects.

NEW PALESTINE – Aspiring filmmaker Aidan Campbell has a crowdfunding site for his next film project.

The New Palestine native graduated last year from Ball State University with a degree in telecommunications, focusing on video production. His project “The Watchers” is a 1980s-style slasher/horror set in a new age. He has raised more than $4,000 so far at igg.me/at/thewatchersfilm/x/36799603#/ . Pond clinic coming up

GREENFIELD – Learn about local ponds and lakes in an upcoming program hosted by Purdue Extension Hancock County.

The Hancock County Pond Clinic will be from 6-9 p.m. March 21 at 972 E. Park Ave., Greenfield. Jonathan Ferris, a Purdue Extension educator, will give tips on pond weeds, water quality, fish species, stocking rates, water maintenance and more. Rotary Club to host community open house

GREENFIELD – The Rotary Club of Greenfield will host a community open house in March with college basketball, food and fellowship.

The free event, scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. March 21, will be at the Thrive Center, 971 W. U.S. 40, Greenfield. The event, sponsored by Shepherd Insurance, is designed to bring together people from all walks of life to celebrate community spirit and foster connections. Attendees will be able to watch college basketball, enjoy food and drinks in a family-friendly environment. People can also learn about the Rotary Club of Greenfield’s various community initiatives and how to get involved. Job fair coming to G-CHS

GREENFIELD – Greenfield-Central’s Jobs for America’s Graduates program is hosting a community job fair April 2.

The event is open to high school juniors and seniors from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and open to the public from 3:30-6 p.m. The fair will be at the high school’s Dellen Automotive Gymnasium.
