Gary Paul Zeller, 83, of Collinsville, Oklahoma, passed away on January 8, 2024. He was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on April 14, 1940, to Ruth and Arthur Zeller of Hartsburg, Missouri, graduated from Boonville High School (MO) in 1958 and resided in Anderson, Indiana after graduating from the University of Missouri in 1962 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He retired from General Motors after 33 years and then “unretired” with GM Truck division in Detroit for another eight years. He moved to Collinsville in the summer of 2020.

He married his beloved Barbara (Tague) in 1964. They were married for more than 50 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, where he was involved with the Sunday School programs and was an Elder and Trustee for many years. He loved sports of all kinds but was an especially devoted Colts Fan and season ticket holder for more than 30 years. He was a model train enthusiast, loved classical music, and loved to travel all over the country and to other countries. But he greatly loved spending time with family and friends.

Gary is survived by his son, Phillip (Laura) Zeller, of Huxley, Iowa; grandchildren, Meghan, Brittany (Andrew) James, and Zachary Zeller; daughter, Melinda (Roger) Smith, of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren Morghan Cyr and Tanner Cyr; bonus grandchildren, Destiny Green, Sandra (Taylor) Owens, and Michael (Nicole) Smith; bonus great-grandchildren, Grayson and Wyatt Green; brothers, Wayne (Jacki) Zeller, Gene (Betty) Zeller, and Bruce (Tina) Zeller all of Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara in 2016, his mother and father, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Loose Funeral Homes &Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church, 230 W. 9th Street, Anderson, Indiana 46016.

Interment will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
