PENDLETON

Jamie Sue (Hetzler) Conway, 50, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. Jamie was born on May 26, 1973, in Bedford, IN, to James and Brenda (Wagner) Snyder. She was a 1991 graduate of Greeneview High School in Jamestown, Ohio where she was the valedictorian of her class and lettered in volleyball, track, and basketball. Jamie was a tremendously loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend to all who knew her and will be deeply missed. She loved Jesus and was an inspiration to many. Jamie didn’t know a stranger and her smile could light up a room. Jamie was the first person to welcome others with open arms. She was always encouraging others. And you could always hear Jamie cheering the loudest. She was truly an angel on this earth.

Jamie was a teacher at Madison County Youth Detention Center and prior to that a registered nurse at various doctor’s offices. She was active in Anderson’s Mainstage Theatre and an avid supporter of her children’s sporting events, extracurricular activities, local drama, and choir clubs. She was a past member of Bethel Community Church of Xenia, Ohio, and Ovid Community Church in Anderson, and a current member of Park Chapel in Greenfield. Jamie enjoyed the Mini Marathon and loved the Indy 500. Purple was her favorite color.

Jamie is survived by her loving husband Lance; their children: Raya Leann Conway, Wagner James Michael Conway, and Briella Jane Conway; parents: Darrel and Brenda (Wagner) Hetzler; in-laws: Michael and Darnella (Whetsel) Conway; sisters, Vickie (Joe) Green and Kiera (Michael) Granger, sister-in-law, Leann (Mark) Glazier; a loving extended family, amazing friends, her best friend, Amanda Pennington, and two cats, Hunter & G.
