Nature camp gets grant for music

GREENFIELD – The Community Foundation recently made a grant of $1,200 to Nameless Creek Camp to provide new music programming for its Plug Into Nature Camp. Each camper got the chance to play an instrument while exploring creativity and using their imagination through play. The grant also allowed an electric violinist to give a tutorial, and also added a lead counselor position to the program.

The grant was made through the Hancock County Enrichment Fund, a comprehensive, unrestricted fund that addresses a broad range of needs, including future needs that cannot be anticipated at the time a gift is made. The enrichment fund helps support long-term solutions and respond quickly to emergencies, meeting the changing social, cultural, educational and environmental needs of the local community.
