Brenda Joyce (Dillard) Orme, age 71, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023 peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born in Beech Grove, Indiana on October 8, 1951 to Lela Laverne (Dedrick) Gaines and Russell Dillard Sr. On December 22, 1982, Brenda married Jack P. Orme in Indianapolis.
She spent time working at BMV Indianapolis Branch 46 and Chuck Callahan Ford. Brenda spent the last 35 years at Dellen Automotive Family where she was the office manager. Her Dellen Family meant the world to her. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, going out to eat, bowling, dancing and going to the movies and Beef &Boards. She loved to spend time outdoors, gardening, camping, fishing and boating. Brenda was always involved in helping others in need. Especially at Christmas, she wanted children to have presents under the tree.
Brenda is survived by her sisters, Judy E. Lamond and Patricia D. Boring (Travis); nieces and nephews, Misty Lambert (Rick), Brant Petrey (Holly), Katrina Trattner and Doug Boring (Brittany); “son”, Nick Dellen and family; stepchildren, Brian, Chad, and Jack Jr. Orme; 3 grandchildren; 10 great nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Slick “Fat Boy”. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; brother, Russell “Rusty” Dillard Jr.; and sister, Darcy Walker.
