Aaron Scott Hough, 53 of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023, at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born the son of Donald & Carolyn (Roach) Hough on August 2, 1969, in Indianapolis, IN. Aaron graduated from New Palestine High School in 1987. After high school, he created a beautiful family with the mother of his four children, Kim. He also worked hard to learn the family business, Hough Drywall, before taking the reins in August of 2012. On October 6, 2017, Aaron married the love of his life, Sheena, in an intimate ceremony in downtown Indianapolis.

Aaron loved racing. Whether it was dirt bikes, cars or trucks, he was fast on the track. As a multi-time national off-road motorcycle champion, he traveled internationally to represent the US Team at the International Six Day Enduro races. In his first Six Days appearance, he was the only American to earn gold. He also raced the American Speed Association car racing series, and the American Motocross Association’s Loretta Lynn National Motocross Races. When Aaron wasn’t racing, he was home using his skills to build and fix just about anything. Above all else, Aaron enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends who will miss him and his infectious smile and laugh. He was always the life of the party.

Aaron is survived by his wife, Sheena Hough; children, Lauren (Philip) Campbell; Whitney (Steven) Squire; Ciarra (Shane Singer) Hough; and Wade Hough; mother, Carolyn Hough; sister, Deb (Scott)Weiler, brother, Kurt (Jacki) Hough; grandchildren, Caylen & Jax Campbell; Hank & June Squire; Raelyn & Lilly Singer,

and expecting another baby Squire in September; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends. Aaron is preceded in death by his father, Don Hough.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 11:00 am at the mortuary. Burial will follow the service at New Palestine Cemetery.

Aaron and the Houghs loved the International Six Days Enduro race, which is why we will rename the Don Hough I.S.D.E. Fund to the Hough I.S.D.E. fund, in honor of both Aaron and his dad.
